Walson-Jack Consulting Public Sector Story

Our Story

Seeing that policy, reforms & decisions in government routinely die in the gap between announcement and delivery. Walson-Jack Consulting grew out of 34 years inside government, from the early days to leading the Federal Civil Service as its immediate past Head. Joined by co-founder Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack, as he brings nearly three decades of training, civic education, and democracy-programming experience to building the leadership capacity and institutional legitimacy that reform needs.

Our Mission

To support governments and institutions in strengthening leadership, improving institutional effectiveness and delivering better outcomes for citizens.

Our Vision

A globally respected advisory and leadership platform for building effective governments, capable institutions and transformational public-sector leaders.

OUR APPROACH
"Strong institutions, competent people and purposeful leadership are indispensable to effective government and sustainable development."

We do not simply advise governments on what they should do. We help leaders work through the harder questions that follow a decision: how to build the capability to deliver it, how to sequence it, how to bring the institution with them, and how to make it last beyond the people who launched it.

We deploy accumulated public-service experience, practical reform knowledge, international networks and contemporary leadership thinking.

OUR METHODOLOGY

The Walson-Jack Framework for Institutional Transformation.

The Walson-Jack Framework is our methodology for institutional change. It covers eight dimensions that together determine whether a reform takes hold: Leadership, People, Systems, Culture, Accountability, Technology, Execution and Sustainability.

Leadership

The capacity of senior officials to lead large institutions, under political oversight and through reform.

Institutions don't transform on their own.

We take on a limited number of engagements at any time, so that each receives the attention it warrants. Every enquiry is read and considered personally. If your institution's challenge sits within our seven areas of practice, we welcome the conversation.
